Mental Health Services
NYSD psychologists, the school social worker, and the school guidance counselor provide mental health and counseling support services to students and their families. Additionally, New York School for the Deaf has access to consultation and training support from a Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) and Behavioral Consultant.
Partnership with New York Presbyterian Hospital – Deaf & Hard of Hearing Program
New York School for the Deaf also maintains a partnership with NY Presbyterian Hospital – Deaf & Hard of Hearing Program in White Plains. Mental health counseling and support is provided at the Hospital. In some situations, services may be provided at New York School for the Deaf by the clinical staff from NY Presbyterian Hospital.
